This is an early 20th century Edwardian (c.1910) walnut kneehole pedestal desk. The desk stands on short turned legs that terminate with brass wheeled castors. The desk is constructed in the normal way with two pedestals each fitted with three graduated drawers and a top section with three shallow drawers (central drawer concave shape). The drawers retain their original brass plate handles. The top section is fitted with a green and gilt tooled leather writing surface. The desk is in very good clean condition with no damage, other than very minor blemishes, commensurate with age and usage. This desk is constructed in three parts for ease of transport.
