This is an early 19th century (c.1820) Georgian mahogany chest of two short and two long drawers. The chest stands on swept bracket feet. The drawers are constructed with solid mahogany linings and are fitted with replacement brass oval plate handles (appropriate for the period). The top is decorated with a rosewood cross-banding and edged with a boxwood line inlay. The chest is in good clean condition with no damage.
