This is a late 18th century (c.1780) mahogany chest on chest. The chest stands on its original ogee bracket feet. The lower section of the chest on chest is fitted with three graduated drawers, with the upper section having three long and two short drawers. The drawer linings are made of oak with the drawers retaining their original brass handles and escutcheons. The chest on chest is constructed from fine quality mahogany and exhibits a rich warm colour. The chest is in excellent and original condition, with only minor bumps and bruises, commensurate with age and usage.
