This is a late 18th century (c.1780) Georgian mahogany knee-hole dressing chest. The dressing chest is fitted with the normal arrangement of one long drawer with six small drawers and a shallow folio drawer. There is also a recessed cupboard set into the knee-hole. The drawer linings are constructed in oak and the drawers are fitted with brass swan neck handles and plate escutcheons. The cupboard is fitted with a key. The dressing chest is in very good clean condition (with no damage) and exhibits a good mellow colour.
