Catalogue No. 2423
This is a late 18th century (c.1780) Georgian oak corner cupboard. The corner cupboard stands on a shallow plinth base and is fitted with a single panelled door, with a double panelled door above. The doors open to reveal a single shaped shelf to the lower cupboard and three shaped shelves to the upper cupboard (the middle shelf is a later but useful addition and is removable if desired). The inside of each cupboard retains its original dark green paint finish and each door is fitted with a working lock and key and escutcheon - all original. The corner cupboard is constructed in one piece and therefore does not come apart. The corner cupboard is in very good clean condition and exhibits a rich warm colour.
