This is a mid 18th century (c.1760) oak welsh 'coffor bach' (small coffer). The coffer stands on bracket feet and is fitted with the normal single drawer. The drawer is fitted with replacement brass engraved plate handles (appropriate to the period). The lid is hinged with its original wire hinges and retains its original lock and hasp fitting. The coffer has a good rich colour and has no damage.
