This is an early 20th century (c.1920's) Georgian style mahogany pedestal desk. The desk is constructed in the normal manner, having two pedestals, each standing on bold cabriole legs decorated with carved foliage to the knees. Each pedestal is fitted with two graduated drawers. The top section is of an inverted breakfront design and is fitted with three drawers and a gilt tooled green leather writing surface. The desk is fitted with two keys. This pedestal desk is of excellent quality and is in very good clean condition, with only very minor marks (a few small pressure marks to the leather surface), commensurate with age and usage.
