This is an early 19th century (c.1810) mahogany butterfly pembroke table. This design of pembroke table gets it's name from the shape of the top when open resembling butterfly wings. The table stands on shaped cabriole legs, terminating with brass toe caps. The table is fitted with a drawer to one end (lining being constructed in oak). The table is in good clean condition throughout with no damage or marks, other than a few minor blemishes commensurate with age.
