Catalogue No. 2501
This is an early 20th century (c.1920's) mahogany Chippendale style ladderback armchair. The chair stands on boldly carved claw and ball front legs, with the arm supports being carved with swags of anthemon (honeysuckle). The back of the chair consists of four pierced and carved rails, with the top rail having carved rosettes. The chair has been reupholstered in a pale yellow damask fabric, which compliments the rich mahogany colour. The chair is in very good clean solid condition with no damage.
