This is a late 19th century (c.1890) mahogany kneehole desk. The desk has an arrangement of eleven drawers with a central kneehole. The desk is of panelled construction, having two panels to each end and three panels to the rear. The top is fitted with a replacement green and gilt tooled leather writing surface. This desk is constructed as one piece and does not come apart for ease of movement. The desk is of very good solid quality throughout with no damage except a few age related minor marks from age and usage. The drawers are fitted with a key.
