This is a mid 19th century (c.1860) Victorian library bookcase of small proportions. The bookcase is constructed in two sections. The lower section stands on a plinth base and is fitted with a pair of panelled doors, that open to reveal a single shelf. Above the doors is a useful single drawer that retains its original brass plate handles. The upper section is fitted with a pair of glazed doors and contains four adjustable shelves. The bookcase is topped with a moulded cornice and is fitted with a key. The bookcase is in very good clean condition with the exception of an old bruise to the left hand side of the lower section.
