This is a mid 19th century (c.1850) Victorian mahogany needlework table. The table stands on a platform base with four swept legs. The knees are carved with acanthus leaf decoration. The legs terminate with brass toe castors. The needlework table is fitted with a pull out basket that is upholstered in pleated powder blue silk. Above is a single drawer, fitted with a removable tray partitioned for bobbins and threads etc. The opposite end is fitted with dummy drawers. The top has drop flaps to each side, supported with a swing hinge. The needlework table is in very good clean condition, with only very minor marks and bruises, commensurate with age and usage.
